To compliment your interviews, we capture additional footage at locations that hold personal meaning to the individual. Whether it's a childhood home, a favourite place, or a familiar walking route, these shoots help bring their memories and stories into a visual context.

Post-Interview
A lifetime of memories often exists in photographs, old videos or recordings tucked away over the years. We carefully scan and digitise these personal archives bringing them into the documentary to complement the interview and newly captured footage. From childhood photographs and family holidays to significant milestones and forgotten moments.

Please note: This package can be purchased as a surprise gift for a loved one. Interviews can be arranged with the recipients knowledge and involvement or without prior knowledge. We take care when handling all photographs, tapes and other archive materials provided for digitisation. However, Somnium cannot accept responsibility for damage, deterioration or playback issues arising from materials that are already damaged, fragile or poorly preserved.

Every life is different, and understanding what makes someones story unique is where we begin. By answering our Insight form, we'll gain knowledge about this persons life to give the final documentary a genuine, personal feel.
Intent
With a clearer understanding of their story, we begin shaping the documentary into a considered, creative proposal. We outline the recommended approach, including interview arrangements, location shoot dates, archive digitisation and the visual direction of the video, alongside proposed deliverables and pricing.
Impact
With the proposal agreed and the creative direction established, this is where the story begins to take shape. We move into production, capturing the interviews and location shoots, and gathering all the photographs, videos and other significant memories that will bring the documentary to life.
